Kuwait Travel Restrictions Updates December 2021

Kuwait International Travel Restrictions : Kuwait is a country located in the Middle East on the northeast Arabian Peninsula. The chief of state is the emir or sheikh and the head of government is the prime minister. Kuwait is a member of League of Arab States and the Gulf Cooperation Council. As the new variant of Corona Virus Omicron is on the rise. Kuwait has kept some International Travel Restrictions to its visitors.

Covid-19 Effect on Kuwait Travel Companies

Travel Restrictions are implemented in Kuwait and they are taking a toll. Non-Kuwaiti residents are allowed entry into Kuwait Provided that they are fully vaccinated with two doses of the Pfizer, Astrazence, or Moderna vaccines or one dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccines. Residents under 18 years of age who have not been vaccinated are permitted to return to the country.

Domestic Restrictions Vaccinated people are allowed to enter all places, But unvaccinated people can only enter pharmacies, supermarkets, medical centers, and hospitals. Even the commercial flights from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka are suspended indefinitely so this has caused a lot of serious effect on Kuwait Travel Companies. The Business has come down a bit.

List of Countries banned to enter Kuwait

Recently Kuwait has announced that it was banning flights to and fro from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe with non Citizens not permitted to enter if they have travelled to those countries. Partial ban of commercial flights from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka are also imposed in Kuwait.

Omicron Cases in Kuwait

Recently Kuwait has detected its first case of the Omicron variant of the Coronavirus. The variant was detected in a European traveler who arrived in Kuwait. The Country on Tuesday reported 31 new cases, bringing the total number of infections to 413,555 while no deaths were reported, keeping the fatality tally unchanged at 2,465. Twenty two people have made full recovery, taking the recoveries to 410,768

Kuwait International Restrictions

Here are the newly imposed Kuwait International Restrictions.

  • Incoming Passengers will be required to conduct a PCR Test within 48hours before and stay in home quarantine for 10 days while the decision is effective as of December.
  • In order to end the quarantine, They must conduct a PCR Test after 72 hours of quarantine.
  • Starting from January 2, 022. If nine months have passed since the second dose of vaccination. The person is considered not fully immunized and cannot travel unless he/she takes a booster dose of approved cases.
